Grow your Fund
Seeing a Tribute Fund grow can give such a sense of achievement and be a powerful, positive way to honour the life of someone special. From making cash donations online to running a marathon, there are so many ways to grow a Tribute Fund - just let your imagination go.
Whether you're holding a birthday party and asking for donations to your Tribute Fund rather than presents, cycling from London to Paris, or organising your own event, you can set up a fundraising page to raise money for an existing online Tribute Fund.
The site is also interactive, so you can write a journal and upload photos, for example, while your family and friends can leave messages of support.
Walkers gather in Chatburn ready for the off
Charlotte Duckworth and Steven Kay walked for eight miles in memory of their daughter, Lola Kay, who died of ecoli meningitis and septicaemia on 15 April 2008 aged only 8 days old. Over 70 of their family and friends joined them in the walk around their home town of Chatburn in Lancashire, many of whom were in fancy dress.
Charlotte and Steven said: "It was a great tribute to our little girl. This is our first event in memory of our little princess; we feel that it is so important for us to keep Lola's memory alive and to help others affected by meningitis."
To raise money for the walk and to involve their friends and family, Charlotte and Steven set up a fundraising page that linked directly to their daughter's online Tribute Fund. Visit the Lola Kay Tribute Fund using the 'Find a Tribute Fund' search facility to see their fundraising page and all the options available on it.
